John Deere L I ????

Does anyone know if there was a JD L I ? and I assume that to be an industrial, in yellow ?

I don't know much more than I have seen here on "L's, know some are collectible, this one has a good tag according the owner, much of it was yellow, and under the tin though I did not look to hard for the tag, had just bought some implements from him today, saw that he's got about 11 tractors he wants gone, all are not running, sitting in the weeds, just wondering if I found something worth fooling with or not, looks complete, sure is an odd looking one.
 
There was indeed an L I, and its rare and collectable. The lads over on the JD board could give you some more info. I'd grab it, if possible.
 
It's weighing heavily on my mind, got photos of it on my phone, but need to get the cable to get them off to my PC I think.
 
Yup, there sure was.

Guy in our tractor club is from down in the Catskills and worked for the town or county. Kept track of things after he reitired and bought the town"s or county"s LI when they took it out of service. He"s taken care of all that needed to be taken care of, gave it a nice "spit shine" and it"s a neat tractor.
 
No kidding, I will have to check further into it, darned thing looks complete, don't think it's seized up, definitely yellow, need to see that tag, could be a nice find, suppose we all get a few in a life time.
 
Yes had one stolen years ago We know it went to northern kentucky had motor filled with used oil to store did not have mower on did not have dtandard rear wheels had hydrolic oil pump on left side Guy had black dodge I wes gone for extended time neighbor thought I had sold it. watched them load was in southwest ind.
