Real integrity, real responsibility and real people make it all worth while. I saw a rough young man give 15 minutes to a couple trying to load a 16 ft fishing boat out of the water onto a trailer. I was sailing and just finished taking my mast down to trailer home. I walked over to him and told him my wife and I had seen him help the others, and then told him where we had seen fish feeding while we were on the water. Thanks for your thoughtfulness. JimN
PS it was a long sentence, but it was readable!!!

I would not take his money, it all comes back to you. I was in Madison WI for Red Power Round Up and blew a water line on the camper after show hours, I stopped at four different vendors that were closed but still at their trailers and tents, everyone tried to help me and one guy opened his tool box and dug around till he found a small hose clamp that I needed and then wouldn t take any money for it.

I was hauling a load of lumber this spring and had a tire on the trailer blowout. By thew time I was able to get pulled over and out of the road, this guy stops on the other side of the road and asked if I had a spare in which I replied no. He said take mine , gave me his cell phone number, and left. You don't find many people like that around anymore.

I have seen more than a few I would have liked to pull the key out of.
Perfectly healthy looking people riding around stirring up dust, noise and about running up my backside.
If your not handicapped walk, the exercise will do you good.

Jay, Your hearts in the right place !

Must have been brought up in my neck of the woods.
I only have two rules
# 1, don't ever lie to me.-- a small fib is OK if we are bartering something.[Snicker]

# 2, don't steal from me, but if in need ask And I'll probably give it to you.

I have helped so many different situations without pay. I just can't put my finger on a particular one, but it has been always returned with interest. Plus the friendship without cost gives a guy a good feeling.

That is about what I was thinking. Hope Jay didn't help someone steal the Kawasaki! That sure would be embarrassing...

I have helped strangers lots of times and always turn down any payment, saying something like "you help out someone sometime". But being a little bit suspicious, I guess I probably would have at least written down the license number of the rig I helped load something on in a situation like this. That information might come in handy later, if anything was not just right. Good luck!

I recently seen two ladies broke down with a flat tire on their car. So I stopped and both were up there in years above me. Not that I am a young buck are even close to one. lol But one said they had called her husband to come help but figured it might take some time for he got to them. "Hummmmm I am thinking" Well I said! You got a spare and they did. I said hang on and set tight! Pulled out a roll jack from my truck and got the four-way out. Had it changed in a short time and the husband had not even showed yet. "Told the ladies to have a nice time and they to wanted to pay me some money. But I told them "No" but do tell your husband to pass the kindness on to others. For what goes around comes around! I left with a big smile on my face and hands that were filthy. But who cares.. could have been my wife out there on that road!

Done things like that before. About 15 years ago We were working on some of our equipment when this guy rides up with a rough little tractor with a busted bush hog behind it. Any way welded it up sent him on his way would not take money for it. Several years later my younger brother keeps telling us about this guy he met at an equipment auction that says he knows us. Finally run into this guy at an auction and he tells the story about bush hogging a lot and breaking down said he didn't have two nickels to rub together and we helped him. He got on his feet and started buying and selling stuff at auctions. He does real well and any time I need something I call him first and He lets us have it at cost. Every time we see him if he has some one with him or we introduce him to some one he tells that story. The things you do good and bad come back to you.

Your going to have to educate yourself in more ways then one,

First, when you see that kind of situation, always do some checking to see if in fact they aren't stealing.

really dumb for the owner to say, (OH! some one took the key)
and you should say ===> Ya!!! (Maybe the owner did) and then, have it checked out.

next, brush up on installing paragraphs in a message.
I see english class was not your favorite subject, and it wasn't mine either.

Some people are afraid of liability issues and most haven't a clue what needs to be done, so they don't do anything.

Last kid I helped paid me $20 because neither of us had a $10, but I bet I saved him a new exhaust system if he had waited for a buddy to pull him out.
Steve

Awhile back you helped me with a problem with success.

My turn to return the favor, so let's see if my 9th grade education allows, I'll try to explain, and help you with an English problem.

First of all,any paragraph starts with the first word set in away from the margin. This allows for the distinction between sentences and start of another subject. [for some reason the forum won't distinguish where you put the letters]

You're (your indicates possession) going to have to educate yourself in more ways than (then indicates time, not amount) one. (punctuation error - comma blunder.

Also, paragraphs require more than one sentence.) First, when you see that kind of situation, you should always do some checking to see if, (comma needed to set off partial phrase) in fact, they aren't stealing. (Since this sentence pertains to the first sentence, it should not be separate and when properly combined with the first sentence, makes a structurally correct paragraph.)

It's really dumb for the owner to say(sentence is incomplete beginning with just "really". Also, the first letter of the first word of a sentence should be capitalized), "Oh, someone (someone is one word, not two) took the key." (Statements should be set off in quotes, not parentheses.) You should say, "Yes, maybe the owner did." (same as above; also when used with 'and' sentence becomes a run on sentence). Then have it checked out.

Next (The first letter of the first word of a sentence should always be capitalized.), brush up on using paragraphs in a message. I see English (English is a proper noun and should be capitalized.)class was not your favorite subject(There should not be a comma before 'and'; removed comma and split into two, complete sentences.). It wasn't mine either.

Joe, here's your post after correcting all the grammar, punctuation, sentence/paragraph structure, and spelling errors.

You're going to have to educate yourself in more ways than one.

First, when you see that kind of situation, you should always do some checking to see if they're stealing. Its really dumb for the owner to say, "Oh, someone took the key.". You should say, "Yes, maybe the owner did.". Then have it checked out.

Second, brush up on using paragraphs in a message. I see English class was not your favorite subject. It wasn't mine either.

"I personally have gotten away from using correct English. I speak in,I guess to you, "Redneck" this seems to be the norm.

If we all wanted to think that Jay was wrong in his post, he would have never got a response because there was no period to end his topic, showing us he was still talking.

With good manners, we wouldn't have interrupted him.

Thanks for the corrections Old Roy, I have to admit, English Class what not my favorite, and I did go to a very poor school to learn anything, I'm lucky I suppose to learn something.

when you read the post's on this forum, I'm sure you will admit, you could spend the day you read them, you could send out corrections on all most every one, this forum is just chatter and we won't be interested in how it's written, but what is written.

It's just that, making paragraphs makes it easyer to read, but punctuation, comma's and spelling is not that important, won't you agree?

Of course at my age, 70, I don't think I care to learn, and just go along with the flow,
if you want to really see mistakes, you should read my book I wrote, that I'm sure is full of mistakes, but I just wrote it to get the message out.

the title is " Secrets of the Qur'an "
if you read it, let me know what you think of that.
have a good one, Paytah Zeke.

That's the way most of us feels so as long as the point gets across , don't matter how it is written.

There is good in all , but sometimes it is hidden so deep that ya gotta clean your desk more often, so ya can find it.

The book you mention you wrote ?

Without proper punctuations, and such,a masterful reader would get a different meaning than you intended. [Hope you had it proof read, and edited.] Make for a better book.

Well anyway glad I could help
