Anyone see that Sci Fi movie a couple of nights ago where the hero buys 3 gallons of gas and drives for hours in a dodge diesel? Man, I need a truck like that!!! (Been down with a bad back, can't even sit to reload)

Ya,,,, and I seen a guy on T.V. load his pistol and shoot it 18 times stright before he ran out of bullets....

I saw a nation elect a totally unqualified community organizer as their president. The show was so awful that they cancelled it the first season.....

Lots of times you see scenes in a moving vehicle with the gear shift in park...they put these cars on a special trailer and shoot through the windshield.

Yes: that always gets my attention. I suppose it is because my shooting a .50 cal. 1 shot at a time is the extreme opposite of that.

Or the bad guys can shoot a thousand rounds and all they do is bust things up and the good guys can shoot about 20 rounds and take all the bad guys out.

The "Show" is indeed terrible, But, from what I understand, it's being picked up for 3 more years.

I love those old movies where the folks are in a car, and the background is obviously dubbed in. Especially enjoy the ladies riding in convertibles, nary a touch of breeze or a hair out of place. The film Airplane spoofed the practice by putting in increasingly absurd background scenes as Robert Stack is going to the airport- ended up with cowboys and indians on horseback, shooting at each other.

I liked Annie Oakley shooting the middle number out of a 5 card as she stood on a running horse too! and then couldn't hit anything in a shootout inside a one-room cabin.

Remember the A Team. They had everything from pistols to rocket launchers. They must have gone though 1000 rounds per episode. No one every even got wounded, good or bad guys. For being ex-military mercinaries on the run, they wer horrible shots, but Mr T was sure cool back then. "I pity the fool that gave me this ridiculous haircut!"

One thing I never could understand as a kid. Superman could fly,bust through walls,bullets would bounce off his chest. But if someone threw a gun at him he would duck.

We used to joke that we were watching for the semi full of ammo that had to be following them around. It was a silly show, but intentionally silly, and better than most "reality" shows.

Jack, politicians/parties lose the peoples confidence when they don"t deliver what they promise...
Bush (actually, Cheney et al) promised a New American Century if we"d just overlook a few little details like fascistic tendencies while they got on with Americanizing (Christianizing?) the world"s resources, but they delivered a series of disasters instead...
Only a small number of people voted for external_link as a person; many more voted against McCain as a Cheney surrogate and a continuance of Cheney"s policies...
external_link has the same problem: if he doesn"t deliver, he"s toast...

Anyone remember the Jules Vernes movie where they were on a volcanic island and the guy with a gun shooting at something in the air? When he ran out of ammo, he just cranked the key on the gun and he could shoot again.
