Scale Models of the machines you Love.

I am not allowed to have a single let alone collection of motorized vehicles other than a Car and a Truck if utilized as an RV vehicle where I live here in Az. That is alright as at my age I don't have the ambition to redo any old machines. "But" I can fantisize about the days past by collecting 1/16" Scale models of the machines I was so familiar with in my growing up years. Here is a AC U from my collection and the U with a John Deere Flare Box Wagon. These are just several of my vast collection I have.Luckily I have a large garage where I have installed display shelving so most of them can be viewed. Any one else have a collection? I know Ia Gary does but have never seen any one else display their "Toys" . My largest Collection is all Green.

I have several hundred farm models, mostly 1/16 scale but a few 1/12. Favorite is a cast iron Fordson that my dad had. When Ertl came along with their 1/16 Precision Classics line I bought everything that was in our neighborhood at the time. John Deere A on spoked rubber with mounted two row cultivator is exactly like the one our old neighbor "Fritz" had. I have a new Holland 77 Hayliner baler by Gilson Reicke that has all the moving parts! Fantastic workmanship.

John, the scale models are great to have! We brought my grand dads WD with loader into Omaha after he died. One Christmas I wanted to give my Dad a model of the WD with trip loader, but none exists, so I made him the loader on an existing model. Turned out quite well I thought! He is proud of it, so I guess the reaction was priceless! Greg

Now that is very excellent work manship. Not many can match that.I don't think I could. I have a WD by Ertl but it is stand alone with no Equipment. I have an Ertl AC G with a mounted Plow. I have 2 or 3 boxes of Sand Box Ertls I am going to get busy on and restore one of these days unless I run out of time. At my age and Health every day of awakening is a blessing. Never plan to far ahead.JH

I have two models of my Case LA paid $48 for the first one an about $20 for the second one real hard to find.
I have found two larger models (hand made) but they sold for over $600.

A couple of years ago, James gave me a scale model of a JD 48A for Christmas. It now sits on my desk at work. I have several of the very small (1/50?) JDs. Even have a pair of earrings made out of the very small scale models of a JD A.

Check out some of the models on this site. It"s amazing all of the detail they can put in these things even in the small scale....Especially check out the one of Big Muskie, it"s over 5 feet long even in 1/87 scale.
Check these out
