OT/Number 4 in a purple jersey

He finally showed up at the Vikings training camp. Just last night their new quarterback was talking about how he was getting comfortable in his role. Now Brett shows up. Should be interesting.

I don't care how good Favre is, he obviously has a problem with telling the truth. How many times has he said he was retiring, and then ended up being a liar?

Obviously, he's one man whose word is no good.

12 million the first year doesn't hurt and will make a liar out of a lot of people.

I interpret this as the coach admitting the system he's spent years implementing is garbage, so he needs this has-been to save it.
Ditto the Jets last year.

Having grown up in Wisconsin and supporting the Packers through some really bad times as well as a few good years I find Favre's behavior really disconcerting. I actually did not have too much trouble with his first two retirement/comeback episodes since I always liked the way he played the game and I certainly can understand not wanting to face up to the aging/loss of skills/etc.

This one really kind of bothers me though, it really seems like a childish, petty attempt to stick it to the Green and Gold. I hope the Pack really sticks it to Favre and the Vikings both games this year.

I can't wait till he brings the Vikes to another Superbowl only to throw an interception on the last play of the game that gets run back for the winning touchdown. He is destroying his own legacy and should stay retired. Always been a Packer fan and still think he was one of the best ever, but was is the key word. Good luck purple and gold! LOL

Yep, We now live in South Central PA and are closest to Baltimore, but there are many Eagles fans (Steelers as well) in the area. I have had more than one conversation this week that basically ends with "who do I cheer for now?"

I am probably more ambivalent about Vick than Favre at this point. He did serve a federal sentence and lost pretty much everything. Whatever he makes now will probably go to his creditors and it is probably his only chance to ever repay those debts. Don't mean to imply that I support his past at all, but until he screws up again I will give him a little leash and let him earn more if he can.

Brett Favre is on his way to the Hall of Fame in a green and gold uniform. In the meantime I'll be cheering for him everytime he plays no matter what color he's wearing. He didn't have as good a press agent as the packers so-called "management" did. The packers, in the meantime, are headed for the drink until they find someone as good as Favre or as good as Favre used to be. All these ninnys complaining and whining about him wouldn't last three seconds in that game even if you put all of them in at once. They're the biggest bunch of wimps I've ever seen.

he should have stayed retired. He reminds me of a little kid in the way that he just cannot make decisions. he was a great player on the packers for a long time. He was known as a warrior. Now he is tarnishing his legacy. He might now be the guy who lies and tryed to stick it to the packers. its just sad.

Read a little about what he personally did to those animals and you may not be as ambivalent.

Who gives a rat's rear end.
There is an old saying that goes something like:
Little minds think about people.
Better minds think about things.
The best minds think about ideas.
Sports are all about people - who did this, who signed that, who played something else.
And sports fans are little minded.
