Hi everyone! I just posted photos of tractors in Sweden and Norway that I took on a recent trip. It was really interesting to see the different types of tractors there. I"ve also posted a little information, too, that I thought you"d be interested in.

I hope you like the pix! I sure had fun taking them!

Tractors in Scandinavia Story and Photos News Page

Jacquie,

Thank you for the pictures, story, a post. In 02, I visited relatives in Sweden and got to drive an old Volvo tractor and a very nice Valmet, and drooled at one cousin's very fine restoration of a 1950's Porche' 2 cylinder diesel tractor. Same relatives visited us a few years later and were quite suprised to find gasoline engines in tractor in common use in the 40's, 50's, and 60's. They drove some of my older 8N's, and Minneapolis Molines. Actually a few MM tractors had been imported into Sweden in the 50's. Nearly all their tractors had diesel engines even back to WW2.

It is fun to compare!!

Hi Paul,
It is fun to compare. I have several cousins in Sweden, too. The David Brown photo is taken at my the home where my grandfather was born and raised! One cousin had a Volvo 10 years ago, but now has a Case. He doesn't even remember that he had a Volvo!! So, I dug up a photo I took 10 years ago at his farm... I'll have to show him next time I see him!
Thanks for the comment!
