Simple solution is to spend 20 bucks on the I&T AC-11 manual. Covers way more than pulling the engine. Lacking that- remove the hood, radiator, disconnect wiring, pop the pin on the steering shaft and move that to the rear. unbolt the bracket holding the spring on the crank extension. Remove the cover in front of the clutch. Dis fuel line and throttle line. Book calls for lifting the engine using two bolts on the valve cover- I made a lift from 2 inch channel iron, drilled for all 4 bolts, and a lift ring in the center. Support the engine under the hoist, remove the front engine support- angle iron. Remove 4 bolts between engine and clutch housing. Lift and wiggle, moving forward.

The clutch was stuck (wouldn't release) We pulled the engine. Had to take out the pressure plate bolts before the engine would come out. The pilot bearing came out of the flywheel and we had to use a puller to get it off the trans shaft. Is this normal? The clutch plate was stuck to the spline & after working it loose, all seems OK. So it goes back in. Pilot & TO bearings look & feel good. I have worked on many clutch jobs but this is my 1st WD. Any more advise?
