I think I witnessed a plow day.......

Wife came home the other day and said there was a bunch of tractors and people at a big barn nearby. She thought it was a Fest because she saw a flag with a beer on it. The world stopped turning, I changed clothes, and away we went.. Got there and there was bratwurst, steaks, and beer along with a couple buttloads of people. Turned out it was an equipment show/demo. Guy was talking on a PA about each machine like this one can be pulled at (?) KM per hour and break everything to 8 inch deep and 4 inch or smaller on the 1st pass yada yada. I wasn't nearly as impressed at the machines as I was at how the experts would flock onto the field behind it and pick up the clods and examine. One guy pulled out a ruler and I had to move on real quick......... So, we grabbed a beer and just sat back and watched the folks move like sheep from one machine to the next. Had a little guy with us that had the time of his life though and I got pictures of 3 old Lanz Bulldogs, so it was a pretty good trip.

I'm at work, waiting on my wife to download them and send them to me.
If not, I'll post them tomorrow.

Speaking of pictures, I wish I had some of the field demos I attended when I was young in the 50s. Mostly Ford Field Days. I watched an NAA with a backhoe did a hole, neet stuff!!

Sounds like fun! Last one of those I remember was in the 70's, IH was showing off the 86 series. I'll bet the little one had a ball. Chris
