John Deere A starter

I have a 1949 john deere A and cant figure out how to get the starter off i have it unbolted but how do you get to the cable to take it off.

Is flywheel cover off? Cause rod has to come out. Then turn starter and take 2 screws holding switch on out. that should get it off.

Ya i removed the cover and took the three bolts off the nose cone of the starter so its free but i cant get the starter to come down cause the cables are still attatched
