Loader Mounting Advice

I need some loader advice. Bought a old Dual loader that came off another make tractor and have been fighting to make it fit - after some cutting/drilling its finally on. Now the problem is pto pump hoses are too short (and ratty looking) - maybe hyd fluid should be replaced too. Should I be concerned with air getting in lines, etc ? It's got two controls so maybe forward lines/cylinders are isolated from reservoir/pump. Any gotcha's to look for? Thanks, Ray S.

Getting air in the system is not a problem. Just replace whatever hoses and components you have to. Fill the reservoir to the full mark, then start the tractor and cycle the lift and bucket cylinders all the way in and out about 10 times. Then lower the loader to the ground, shut the tractor off, and refill the reservoir to the full mark. You will be good to go.
