Local auction house got $150.00 for this book.

Some idiot left a bid, and got it.

OK it was me, I used a pen that skipped real bad to write down my bids with lot numbers. The pen was acting up, and I was in a big hurry, and could not read the writting on my post it note real well.

That is the first time I ever did that dumb a thing.

But in my defence, the other bidder kept her hand up till $145.00

No, the auction house did not run up my bid, they never do that. They have been checked many many times, and never once raised the bids from the air.

I'm however very proud to own a cataloge that is valued at $150.00. It should have went for $35.00 -to $50.00 I would guess.

I spent alot of money at that auction, and if I average the whole auction treasures--well I did real good, but everyone in my small town knows what I did by now, so I got to take my ribbings by my friends.

I wonder if I ever gave some one else a rough time before----it sure seems that may be the case.

I once bought a little pink stuffed bunny rabbit at auction....Thought I was bidding on a plate of peanut butter fudge and brownies. Oops!
darn charity auctions.

If I was standing there and loosing control of my better sences, probably $75.00. However I only thought I left a bid for $40.00

well,I won 2 JD wheel weights last month, thought I was bidding on two, turns out I bid $110 each ( 2 times the money)That was $110 more than I wanted to spend.Oh well live and learn. Bill M.
