Well I pulled a boner yesterday, thankfully it wont be to expensive. I have a narrow crossing between fields and even with the 1219 in travel its a bit wide. So I swung the drawbar over and when I turned right the PTO pulled apart, almost. Had shaft is ok but the guard is ruined. Guess I should have left the pto off the tractor when You do that. Live and learn. lol
Whats your best on recently--?
 
had a flat on one of my tractor rear tires, loaded with chloride. pumped it out, blasted and painted the rim, new tube. used the forklift to put the tire and rim back on the tractor, all went well. went to back up the forklift and park it, backed into the farmall h rear tire, knocked the tire valve off and sprayed chloride all over. had to put a new tube in the h too!!!!
 
My first question is why in the heck did you pull the tire and rim off of the tractor to do it. Its much easier to do on the tractor.
 
gary, i took the rim up to the shop to sandblast and paint it. otherwise, i would have just done it on the tractor.
