Why can't they leave it simple?

After all the problems here the last couple of days, now Garden web is down with problems. Too many people trying to do too much fancy stuff. Only people like Lanse are good enough to understand it.
Guess I will go out with a hoe and weed my garden..or am I supposed to be using some kind of computer run weeding machine?
 
Don"t you know that more advanced and bigger is better. It doesn"t matter if it doesn"t work any better or in fact if it works for the worse, people just have to change things. If you buck the system then your just a grumpy old man
 
Sign me up for the grumpy old man club. Every time something on the internet works consistently for a few days, whoever sponsors it wants to change things around.
 
I don't know of said machine. Might I suggest a different approach to computerized weeding? Disconnect your keyboard & tuck the wire end into your pocket. Find a spot in the garden you want to weed. Hold keyboard horizontally, firmly grasping the sides & beat it against the ground. Once enough of the keyboard breaks off, you'll have a jagged end that should puncture the soil with ease! It is also a great stress reliever & should be followed by your favorite pop, beer or other refreshment. - Mike
 
Duct tape an ipod and GPS enabled cell phone to your hoe and you should be completely up to date!
 
What I've noticed about computer people is they never leave well enough alone. They've never heard "if it ain't broke..."
 
You make a good point. But look at the other side of the equation, would anyone visit a web site that was written in 1998 and not changed since?
