Comparing AC180 and MF 180

I am looking at two different tractors and I know this will cause fans of both brands to say theirs is better.
One tractor is an Allis Chalmers 180d and the other is a Massey Ferguson 180d.
Any pros or cons about either one would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, doorman

Dont know, they are about the same in wt. and hp.
I have driven the 180 Allis and it seemed to be a good tractor. Never been around the Massey 180.
I would have to go with the allis.

i have to disagree. Our massey 1080 has never ever had any hydraulic problems. The AC"s have terrible transmissions and absolutely NOOO resale value. You will spend more time fixing your tractor then you will riding it if you go with the AC

Gotta disagree with the no value on the AC 180. The AC 180's and 185's bring very good money here in New York. I respect the smaller Massey's but they do not bring the money because there are very few (but good) dealers left here. The powerhouse AC dealers were a factor into the 1990's here and that helps, also.

Thanks for all the responses. I am leaning toward the Allis. I already have a D14 with a loader and I like it very well. If it had power steering I would like it even better. doorman
