Farmall regular road gear???

ok need a little info from you olde timers...lol...1930 regular trying to get the story on what the road gear consisted of....the hiesler/behlen overdrive units that mount on the front of the trans is not a option for me since there is no spline on the pinion shaft on a regular.....there is on a f 20 but not a reg....was there ever a overdrive option that consisted of removing the factory 3rd gear and replacing it with a higher after marked?

any help would be great....thanks!!!!

I don't know of any internal overdrive options, but I do have a 1930 regular with the overdrive in front of the transmission. It,s built slightly different than the one on the F-20. It's on a parts tractor so I can only assume it worked, but it looks like it was on the tractor when it was running. Peavy
