Corbitt farm tractors

Hi! I have a 1949 Corbitt farm tractor and was wondering if anyone else has one? I live in Syracuse, New York. I am having trouble finding parts, I would love to corrospond with someone who may have the same tractor.

I found this article on the Corbitt company in the archives. They said 3 tractor models were made the D50, K50 and G50. That company built trucks too and had a contract from the Army to build trucks. You probably should contact www.beltpulley.com to see if they have any place to contact for parts. Hal
PS: You should post a picture of your tractor.

You"ll want to start with the Corbitt Preservation Society (corbitttrucks.com) which includes other Corbitt tractor owners.
Corbitt trucks and tractors were built in Henderson, NC, from 1910 to 1952, the tractors apparently in 50-51-52, possibly as an effort to find something to replace slowing truck sales.
My notes show the G50 and K50 with LeRoi engines, which Allis Ch used for awhile, and some parts may be available thru Allis dealers (Agco now??); the D50 diesel had a Herc DIX-4D, which may not be that easy to find parts for. (There are a number of obsolete engine parts dealers which may have parts). I have nothing on the rest of the running gear.
Googling "Corbitt tractor" (advanced search, exact phrase) will bring up some other tractor hits (along with mostly truck "tractor-trailer" hits).
My apologies if this is stuff you already know.

Thanks for the info. Here's a picture of the Corbitt. Hal

I would like to have one of these. The Corbitt company was like the Kaiser Frazer in the late 1940's and early 1950's and the Ford Edsel. The Frazer was a nice car. I had a chance to buy one in 1960, but bought a Chevy. Hal

I never seem to remember tractordata; nice site.
In this case, I sent Peter a reminder to check on his diesel engine listing; I do believe the DIX-4D is Herc and not a LeRoi..
