is a 41 modle 9N 6volt. a postive or negtive ground ?I put in a New 6V. battery when I got it. I Had it running with the neg.ground for a couple of day's now it wont turn over.Im guessing the battery is dead ?

If you had the battery hooked up backwards it should not have made the battery go dead. Unless you ran it while the battery was hooked up wrong. IF the generator started to try and charge the battery while the batter was hooked up backwards the voltage in the system would be doubled (12volts) and it could of fried your voltage regulator causing the relays inside it to stick closed and drain the battery after you shut off the engine.
