I have a straight 410 that has irratic steering. The wheels will not stay put when not being steered and will go all the way to the right or left depending on which way it was being steered. The steering wheel also takes too much pressure to move at first then moves normally. I also notice that the backhoe stabelizer levers seem to be loading up with pressure as they are hard to move at first but after they are initally moved seem to be ok. The tractor loader seems to be ok except that the engine seems to lug down a little more than it used to. The backhoe attachement works fine. Any help would be appreciated :)

What does your hyd. oil look like is it nice and clear. I have seen 410 that have bad brake disks and they run metal to metal and contaminate the oil
and will cause all the problems you are having.
Take the trans. and hyd. filters out and cut them open and check for metal it will be real fine metal
about like grafite. If that is the problem it will make the valves stick. Don
