Run your center set of tires ( front axle of tandem) nearly flat and over inflate the rears and you will get lots better steering. We got rid of all our 6x4's and went to the new 850 4x4. We ran without any mechanical issues ever on the old ones. They are pretty tough unit.

We purchased a 2001 with 125 hours on 5 years ago. We now have 450 hours with only replacing one drive belt. I'm afraid the wife would boot me out before giving up the gator. It saves many steps a day and works for it's keep. Also the greatest toy a grandparent can have around for the grand kids.

We got one and it holds up to my wifes abuse. She uses it everyday for chores and I dont have to work on it to much so it must be pretty good machine.Wife only has one speed WIDE OPEN weather it is the skidloader, tractors, or her gator. I had to turn rpms down on our trucks cause she dont shift untill it quits revving.Only bad thing I see about the gator is if you go in thick heavy mud like we got in Iowa it packs between the tires and frame and if you get to much in there the belt will slip. They almost need wheel spacers.
