Antique Tractor Mackinaw Bridge Crossing

Anyone going to the Mackinaw Bridge Crossing in September? We're planning to go, taking a semi-truck full of tractors up there. Was wondering how it's set up, where's a good place to load and unload tractors? Do they go north to south or vice-versa? Anything you could tell me would be appreciated. We may have room for a tractor or two if you need a ride, on the way up from Owosso, MI.

I'm planning on going for the first time. I've got a house (a cheap foreclosure) about 20 miles south of the Mackinac bridge (it's not Mackinaw).
There's Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island, and Mackinac bridge.

Do a Web-search for "Mackinac Bridge" and "tractors" and you'll find all the info you need.

Last year we had about ten or twelve people from our club attend. Every single one of them came back raving about how well everything was managed. Lots of friendly people, good food, lots of tractor talk. If you go hopefully, you too will have the same great experience.

I participated in the first ride last year. Very well organized, there was ample place to unload at an old gravel pit west of Mackinaw City. Travel was from South to North, ending at Kewadin Casino about 6-8 miles from St. Ignace. Don't know if I will go this year but it was a lot of fun and some really great people partipating.

If your from Owosso, you should know that Bob from Owosso Tractor Parts on M21 is the guy who got this thing started, and is the one who is organizing it again this year. You have to belong to an antique tractor club to join in the crossing, and you have to sign up and buy a medalion BEFORE AUGUST 1ST! I'm from Perry, and me and my Oliver 77 will be there. Ron
