Starter Post Replacement

I have a 53 Jubilee, and the post where you secure the battery cable onto the 6 volt starter is stripped out. Is it easy to replace, and can I buy just the post (stud)?

Starter shops have a stud with male /female threads that can thread over the damaged stud. Or for that matter , how about a coupling nut ??

you can buy a starter repair kit from most tractor parts dealers, I did mine on my 4cyl. 2000 , had the same problem, just need to un solder the old one and solder in the new, not too hard at all

If you have a local shop that repairs starters, I'd recommend you take it there and have them solder it in. The shop that did mine used a soldering device that looks like a big set of tweezers to heat the stud without overheating the winding.
