update on Jake's cancer.

Went back over the weekend, took a day off work Monday. Too many miles for quick trips anymore.

By the time we got back Saturday, we knew it would be too late in the day. Just as well, found out he was in the local hospital then.

His feet were VERY badly swollen, they drained 39 ounces from them. He got home Sunday morning, we saw him and the family for a couple or 3 hours Sunday afternoon. He actually said "hello Doug" as soon as I walked in his bedroom, we were able to talk for 3 or 4 minutes at a time off and on as he went more or less between coherent and rambling. Brain cancer is a losing battle.

Signed power of attorney at ASCS/USDA Monday to Kelly for the farm stuff like we had for Jake.

I printed off all the prayers you have all sent from the earlier post, Ruth and the kids are all grateful for the prayers and support. She is TIRED, but won't even leave the house until Jake is gone.

Thank you all for the prayers. I will advise when he passes away, WILL NOT post family info on here, but will reply to those of you who are long time posters on here by email reply if you want to know. Even then, I will just direct you to the proper newspaper obituary. THANK YOU all again. DOUG
