Oliver Super 88 Diesel didn't start

I posted last week about this tractor which was my Dad's. It started right up about a month or so ago, to move it into my shed, after sitting all winter and spring. Now it doesn't start. I am wondering if the fuel pump (lift pump) is not working. In 2007 the fuel filter (Wix) was changed and both glass sediment bowls cleaned throughly. To check, undo line going into injection pump, and crank? Do I need to worry about the injection pump, pumping air into the injectors with the open line? Appreciate your advice and experience. I am not really mechanically inclined, back in the 60's and 70's I could change a starter or alternator on a car but that's about as much as I would attempt, other than oil change.

Well, I realize we can't always get a response to our questions. Turned out ( I believe) that all that was needed was fresh fuel.
