posted on garden tractor page also but thought try you guys too.my son has a cc garden tractor that just all of a sudden started to flip the srarter-generator belt, thought the pulley on engine might be a little bent so replaced, but no help, the pulley on the generator looks ok.belt is right size, tight enough and have lined up pulleys with straight edge,as soon as go from idle to full throttle belt flips over on its back, never comes off, just flips over.this is a good little tractor that sill runs good and mows a lot of grass after 40 years, just can't figure this out ,thanks for any help-larry

Have you replaced the belt?

Even if the belt looks OK it likely it's got one or more busted cords inside. And that'll make it twist and flip as it gets loaded up under speed.

It flipped because a cord is broken inside it. Once the belt flips, it will continue to stay flipped, No matter what. Replace belt.

If the top of the belt sets above the pulley to far it may cause this problem. May need narrower belt so it fits down in the groove.

Had similar experience with the mower drive belt on my JD 140.... belt is damagaded. Only fix is replacement of belt.
