IH1066 pto problem

I have a 1066 that when going down hill the PTO cuts off. When I get on level ground or go up a hill it comes back on. The hyd fluid level is full. Please help!

stay on level ground! seriously, though- the pto has its own hydraulic pump that has a suction tube with a bend downward. probably the seal around the tube is bad. i'd try overfilling the oil by 5 gal; if that doesn't help you might need to pull the pto and fix that seal. pulling the pto is the biggest part of that job. unless you've smoked the clutch pack already... then that should be fixed too.

Pull pto out of tractor I bet suction pipe has fell out.Scott

will it hurt anything to overfill the fluid?

No if you don't put much more then 5 gallons or so.Scott
