how do you adjust disc brakes on Belarus 250AS?

All of the disk brakes I have seen are self adjusting if they use a caliper. If like the Case version then there should be a small nut on the outside to adjust them.

They are band brakes on each side of the rear axle.Look in th back under the floor you will see a half moon cover on top of the axle, has 4 bolts holding it down.Remove the cover, there is a stud with a locknut.Tighten it down till you have about 1/2 pedal freeplay. When you put the covers back on there is a spring you have to push down with the cover. This holds the bands away from the drums.

I can see the stud and locknut on the backside of the axle, without removing the half moon covers, do I still need to remove the covers?
Thank You

When I bought the tractor new in 1996, the dealer told me that it has disc brakes, but I really don't know. It does have a stud and locknut on the right and left backside of the axle beneath some halve moon covers, I'll try tightening them and see wath happens.
Thank You
