well I ended up with 1900 small square bales, down from last year, had 1500 small squares and 50 4x6 big rounds ,started out real dry but in june got about 5" of rain so did a little better than I thought I would, starting to get dry here again, but should get a good 2nd crop I hope,NW Wisconsin

What a difference a few miles can make. My Dad and I finished unloading sencond crop tonight. Off of about 35 acres, we didn't even break 1000 bales I don't think. We finished in the dark last night and I didn't get to look at the counter before it was backed in the shed.

I'll probably have a look though when I get the baler out to weld a part of the needle arm that has a crack. Just saw it yesterday out in the feild, so we kept going and I'll have to fix it later. Looks like it's been that way for a while.

I finally finished raking the last of my first cutting of grass hay today. Second cut alfalfa is half done, a month late. Been just the opposite here. Couldnt get 3 days without rain the whole month of June. 7 inches of rain total in June alone. July so far has been dry, and could use a shower. Right now I'm at 965 round bales, tomorrows run should make at least 80. Squares Im at 800 off 7 acres alfalfa and timothy.

Soon as this is finished Im taking 2 days off. Then try to finish up second cut alfalfa.

Third Cutting of irrigated Alfalfa being baled right now. Boy is it beutifull. It has been so hot and no humidity. Son baling tonight to hold tose leaves, it was cut yesterday. Hay moisture is 15 percent. Water will go on tomorrow.

Working on 2nd crop, but still have 8 a. of first to cut. (was waiting for parts for the pull-type mower - the s/p can't get to that field) A neighbor baled 37 acres of 1st crop beef hay for me yesterday- his tractor and baler in the pic. 41 5'x68"-70" bales off the 16 acre field in the other pic. Listed these round bales on craigslist last night, have it tentitivly sold this morning.

I haven't even been able to get out and cut our first cutting of hay. In May and early June we were in a drought with cold temperatures so nothing grew. Finally had some rain and the grass shot up. Now it won't stop raining and I can't get out in the field.
