I was at the local dealership today & noticed the fancy metal crate the new Kub z-turn came in. I haven't seen either one until now. Unfoutunate, though, it's marked Property of Kubota, Return To KMA. I was hoping it was a throw away, I could use the metal! Could make a real good trailer, too! - Mike

I used to prep them bad boys couple years ago.Nice machine,3 cyl diesel, hydro driveand they start at bout 11 grand. Not so neat! Hoss

I'm surprised they want them back unless the assembly is done here in the states. The CNC machine tools we purchase are brought in on some pretty substantial steel frames (some of which would make some pretty nice tractor haulin' trailers!) and we get to keep them all and scrap them out. I guess it would cost more to ship them back on the "slow boat" than to make new ones for the next machines shipped.

Good shipment,
Bill

Red the reusable crate deal is we have 90 days to get them back to KUBOTA at Gainsville Ga or we are billed $395.00 for the crate. The mower has $35.00 added to cost as crate usage fee. I have piles of the old crates at the farm wue them to stack hay on and many other uses. Just never could sell them for scrap prices. Gave away a lot to people building deer stands and all sorts of things. Know one man that has his small pasture fenced in the things. We will go thru about 250+ of the things this year so all in all it is a good program.

3 or 4 grand will buy you a good lawn tractor with power steering and hydro. Unless you're a landscaper with a mercedes pulling a trailer, you will have no use for such a contraption.

I don't care if it mows grass 75 miles per hour or if it turns on a dime. Anyone willing to pay 11K for one of these to mow their OWN grass is one bong hit short of being mentally incompetent.

Last year I bought a used 72" Grasshopper for $6,000 and it was the best money I have ever "wasted" on anything. Mowing went from 6.5 hours to 2 hours.

It's good I don't do that other stuff or I may have spent more on a new one........I am just glad some guy traded mine in for a new one for himself. If you have the cash, a big fast mower is a great tool.

You are kinda missing the point to some extreme. We just about seel one a day or so at this time of the year and a lot like 50% or so are to home owners and the reason they purchase that unit is no allway the fact that it will cut their mowing time in less than half. Lots of them are purchased because over a 10 year period it repsents a savings in that the mower last longer than most cheaper mowers. Cheaper is not always better.
