I ve got a old sow groundhog that lives under a building that has to go and I cant catch her out to shoot her . I shot the little ones . I got a live trap , Whats the best bait for a groundhog you guys have had good luck with ?
 
Get a package of bubble gum. Put a few pieces out -- maybe twice -- and you won't see him again.
 
If you can dump about a quart of gas down her hole. She'll either come out drunk as a skunk and you can wack her with a 2x4 or she will never come out again.

You might have a bigger issue though. Unless you put something down there to keep others out even if you fill in the opening one will come along and move in.

I haven't figured out the second part yet.....
 
I have tryed a lot of different bait and so far none has worked,I do get coons but no ground hog,Where they have the hole is in my shed,If its out in the open I take a quart of gas with a little oil moxed in and slop some in the hole as deep as I can and then throw the plastic bottle with the rest in the hole,open side out and then throw a match and made it go boom,that has always worked,I wish my ground hogs wernt so fussy on food
 
I got one by covering all the holes I could find and fuming it with my diesel truck. 15 min of diesel smoke, covered the hole and it never came out again. Best part, the smoke must have flavored the dirt since no others have tried to move in yet. Been several months
 
i pour about a half cup of diesel fuel down the hole, they abandon the hole as well as all other critters due to the lingering smell.
