6 volt farmall starter

I have a Farmall 100 that has a 12 volt system but a 6 volt starter. The question that I have is there any 12 volt automobile starter that will bolt up to the bell housing of a C123 engine?

Just use the 6 volt starter. It will work fine.

Whats the worry??? There thousands of tractors being used all the time with 6 volt starters and 12 volt battery's. Shoot I have probably 15 or more of them and never had any problems

As below, no issue. If it gives any trouble, replace the drive with a new clutch style. Good to go as is. JimN

Normally spins faster and starts quicker.No consern unless it quits,then put another 6volt on it.
