My wife left for a vacation in Italy, along with my daughter, and two grand kids. Her grand parents are from there. There is a family reunion which they will be attending. All toghter 15 people from the states will also be attending the reunion. I had no desire to travel there, plus I needed to take care of the animals. Anyone have any relations in Italy? My Dad's side of the family is from Germany, and Mom's side is from Norway. Stan

I hear guys every morning crying at the diner about being divorced yet spent 15, 20 , or 30 yrs doing just what you did. If they had no interest in it sent the little lady along by herself. That gets old and sooner or later they learn you can be replaced.
I do a LOT of things and go a LOT of places I rather not be but have managed to be married 40 yrs and still have all my stuff.

Good advice. Haha! That always gets me in trouble though. I haven't learned the self control part of visiting the dealerships.

Wifes Father came to America in 1914 from north Italy ,almost in Germany . She went to Italy with her folks when she was 12. Not a good trip,her mother was the only one to speak English to her. her cousins and uncles and aunts tried to converse with her but that usually ended up a failure. She spent 2 weeks in this small mountainside town living as her relatives did and never got out in the country to see any thing so it was not a very memorable trip.I think Italy would be a nice destination were it not for the tourists.LOL
