HAY FORECAST!!!

I just got in from weekly prayer meeting and checked my favorite weather site AND WE HAVE THREE GOOD DAYS FORECAST!!! It's the first since late May.
In the morning I'll double check and then go knock it down.

Be careful. A few days ago they were give'n 15% chance here for today, then Tuesday morning started saying it wasn't going to rain till the weekend. We just had a good quarter inch dust knocker. Lots of hay got washed here, again. I ain't fuss'n one bit, never seen this much grass in July in my life.

5 day forecast on Monday was great. 10% chance of isolated thunderstorms only wednesday. So I knocked the alfalfa down Monday afternoon. Raked a little yesterday evening. No clouds anywhere in sight . Went to bed with plans to rake this morning and bale tonight.
Woke up to the thunder, hail, and 1.5 inches of rain in about 15 minutes at 0530 this morning.

My wife says that the most accurate 3-day rain forecast is to take the number of acres of hay I have cut and multiply that by 10. For example, if I have 10 acres cut, that's a 100% chance of rain.

This method of meteorology has been spot on so far this year.
