This may be a foolish question but, I have a WD-45 diesel that I would like to take to a local pull if I can ever find the time, and my question is when pulling, should I use the foot or hand clutch, and does it matter?

It may not matter but that tractor was designed with two clutches for a reason. Do what you want but I would use the hand clutch, that"s they way it was designed.

As far as I know the foot clutch was designed for shifting gears and the hand clutch was just a rear axle disconect for a PTO so unless you can shift gears with the hand clutch do not use it, use a clutch that you can shift gears with and that means the foot clutch that any AC or IHC, Oliver, MM, MH, Cockshutt guy can get on and handle if you have trouble on track and cannot finnish pull and get tractor off of track. Leroy on our local pull board, here I think using the hand clutch would get you dicqualified.
