Hello - I am working on getting an old Massey Harris 22 running again and it is still on the 6 volt system. The motor is not stuck at all and turns over well by hand. When I try to start it the motor turns over very slowly even though the battery is fully charged. I tried using another starter from another running tractor of the same make and model. The thin copper pipe which goes from the canister on the engine to the oil pressure gauge gets extremely hot during the cranking and it gets hot within seconds. So I know its a severe short but I can't figure out what is causing the short. Nothing else gets hot at all. There are absolutely no live wires touching the pipe either. Can anyone help shed some light on this? - Dean
