How many Tractors Do you have?

I know this question has been asked before but since all of you are rich and have lots of tractors I was wondering how many you had. Personally I have three Fords a 640 [engine rebuilt ready to go back in], 850 [that won't stay cool enough to run more than 15 minutes], And a 961 diesel[I think is going to be a parts tractor]. How many do you have and would you rather work on them or drive them?
Ron

Only 1. a German made Farmall that I'd love to tidy up and paint but I just can't find the time. Prolly end up doing a section at a time w/ a spraybomb or brush then a decent job on grill, dash(??), and hood. Dogs ride on the fenders so not much sense in a pro job there and a brushjob seems like it'd hold up better on floor panels and other areas.

706 ger deisel,1939 M Farmall, 1948 Cockshutt 30, Farmall 300, 1952 TO 30 Ferguson. Anyway,too durn many but which ones are keepers.

(quoted from post at 07:46:29 07/05/09) Which one! Id love to see pics of it!

It's a '64 D326 (3cyl diesel, 26HP)
The one is the twinkle in my eye, the other 2 are my tractor with and without loader and mower. Both are off now, but I miss the convenience of the loader and I coulduv used the mower this year. Maybe I'll do a brush job on them both and the mounting areas and remount them.

Between my dad and I we have 12 John Deere - 5 IH - 2 Ford 2N along with a Cat-4 and a 4500 Ford backhoe

My most expensive tractor is a 97 Kubota, 22 hp

3 Farmalls 41B,48H,51H,3 Fords 528N,488N,and 901 I think its a 59? 1 MM435 Don't know the year a 1955 AC WD45 and a 51 Oliver Row Crop 66 and still collecting

I have a 640, 641, 850, and a 8n. the 8n and 640 I use, I am working on the 850. and parting out the 641 for now. If you consider the cost of a riding lawn mower these days, you can buy 2 maybe 3 old tractors for the same price of a high end lawn mower.
but you will need to spend some money on fixing them up. I can work on the old tractors but I am not so good at fixing them little mystery black boxes the new ones have..

My dad and I are pushing 90 tractors and about 45 plows. Mostly Farmall and Case, 2 Deeres, half dozen of each Oliver, Minnie Mo & AC and 3 Cockshutts. All but 3 run and that will be down to two shortly. All are in various stages. From nice untouched originals, to older repaints, to old & new restorations. Somedays I just take the boat and go fishing cuz I get tired of working on them.

One AC WD 45 "Mutt" ,in other words it was a diesel but now it is powered by a WD gas engine. It has been this way since 1971.It was fixed up and cleaned up and repainted when engine swap was made and still does a little work on the farm.Nothing heavy or stressful. Also about 90 1/16 scale little guys and various pc"s of equipment, some waiting for restoration.Just a hobby of mine, golf is too expensive when you try to live on a fixed income.JH

To many. I have some that I haven't fired up in 2 or 3 years because I have to many for what I need. As for your 850 over heating drain the cooling system and fill it with vinegar and run it till good and warm. Let it cool and drain if and hook up a garden hose to the block drain and take the radiator cap off and walk away from it for at least 2 hours. Doing that may fix the problem unless it has a bad thermostat

Iv got several tractors only one real classic
I think its a 54 but I have a super M t/a diesel

1-454 IHC gas, lowboy, hydro (painted like a Cub Cadet) and my little camping cart. Think of a teardrop trailer with covered wagon top, 4' wide wood wagon box. Looks like a 2 wheeled chuckwagon. Tractor rides, parades and camping till fall.

I sold my 454 IHC gear drive, Farmall H and all my equipment in the last year. Because of health, I am downsizing everything....James

I have 2:
IH 784 - for feeding hay & all other bucket jobs
Farmall A - with a belly mower for knocking down weeds. Love 'em both & work PERFECT for me & my uses!

Made me think of a funny story. When my oldest son was maybe 3, my dad was visiting with a nieghbor, Buster Kueckelhan, in our farm shop. My son was a big tactor nut. If you had lots of tractors, then in my sons eye, you were a king. He goes up to the neighbor and says "Buster, how many tractors do you have?" Buster, just kidding around says " I dont have any tractors" Well my son just walked away, if you didn't have tractors, then you just wern't worth talking too.

1954 TO-30 Ferguson
1966 3000 Ford
1975 995 Case/David Brown

All three are used for different chores, used to have a John Deere 40, 9N Ford, Farmall A, 445 Long, and several other TO-30 Fergusons and a 601 Ford but got to be too much for me to keep up with and didn't have a big enough shed to keep them out of the weather.

I have 5 tractors. I like fixing up tractors and using them, drive them and take them to shows.

I have a 1943 SC Case and a 1951 TO-20 Ferguson that we used when I was growing up back on the farm in MN. I also have a 1970 Massey Ferguson Diesel that I fixed up after my brother rode it hard and put up wet on his farm in IA.) The SC Case is in need of some work to be usable. I use the TO-20 a lot for my mowing, landscaping and everything else. The MF 165 is good when I need it for heavier work but by far I prefer the little Ferguson. I believe that I have enough parts to put a TO-30 Ferguson together and would like to find a set of half tracks for that, but time is a factor.

Hi, Interested in your comment on owning a SC Case/43. I purchased one of these a few months ago and have appempted a couple of times to get it running with no success. As strange as this may appear we do have similar tractors. Any secrets or information in getting this tractor running would be appreciated. cheers, Murray

I have 2 which my wife said is all I need to do what few jobs we have around our place.4 others that a man in next county left with me to get operating.2 that neighbor parked at my place before he died, which I rob parts from to install on next county man's,who I do believe has lost interest,so most likly I will wind up painting and keeping in case he comes after them.Seems everyone else has a problem with city folk dumping spare dogs and cats.Been sorta expecting SA to unexpectonly show up anytime.

Depends on if my wife happens to be standing next to me. When I loaded two olivers on the gooseneck to bring home from last years local show, she said that night, "I thought you only had one Oliver?". Hope she doesn"t come over to the barn.
