One feild, and one certain hybrid is at 7' average. Wow, never thought i would see this before the 4th of July, not where I am living any way. This is the feild where I was "out standing in my feild" picture the other day. I also noticed I have a lot of suckers, or stooling going on in that feild, how bad is that gonna hurt me? They are big suckers to, near the size of the main stalk. Sure am glad I didnt put down a higher rate of chic ken manure or I be tasseling in the clouds!

I had 8 rows 50feet long.first time i ever grew sweet corn six feet tall.it was beginnig to silk.sure would be nice to get some rain.well we got 3 inches in 2 hours.next day i had the flatest corn i have ever seen

same here a few weeks ago. Mine stood back up pretty well in a few days of sun though.
It seems like some varieties of sweet corn are prone to falling over.

Suckers should not hurt you. They are the first to dry up and feed back to the plant if you need rain. If you chop for silage the tonnage will be better.
