I will be taking the family to New Hampshire for vacation in mid July. Anything good to see while we are there? Thanks in advance

There are lots of places to see in New Hampshire.

Mount Washington and the cog railway that goes up it
Old man on the mountain (I think he lost his nose though)
Santa's Village
Conway (Outlet stores galore)
Down by the ocean there is Portsmouth, which has a beautiful working harbor
The Kangamangus highway is great trip through the hills and Lake Winnepesaukee is very nice.

The best thing about New Hampshire though is it's views of Vermont and Maine.

Crawford Notch is awesome.Ive been told that southern NH looks like MA now.Traveled a lot by motorcycle in the 50s in NH.I favor the coast of Maine and Acadia National Park.Cadilac Mountain has some beautiful views.Drive to the summit.Bar Harbor is full of tourists but I still like visit.I enjoy watching the tourists and having lunch at good restaurants there. The scenery on MT Desert Island is the best in New England.

If you like camping Mt. Manadnock is a nice place. It is in S. N.H. The hike to the peek is a good day trip.

Wifie and I did our Honeymoon there.

Well, there's plenty of rain...

The suggestions above are all very good, I don't really have anything to add.

While you're at it swing on over to Maine and have a Lobster. The Mid-Coast is really ideal. (OK, I'm done with my plug).

Oh and Maine has rain too!

(If you couldn't tell we're one of the rainiest springs/summer on record).

Sorta depends on what are you'll be in...some of my favorites are:
Conway Scenic Railroad, Clarks Trading Post, Hobo Railroad, The Flume, Kangamangus Highway, Rhododendron State park (Fitzwilliam NH)
The old man is no more but just down the road is Indian Head and Indian Head Hotel. (i think its still in business...its been a while since i was there)

I lived there for 4 years and my wife and I got engaged there. Drive straight up rt. 93 into the Franklin notch area, lots of very scenic things to see. Also the mount washington thing is great. One thing about New Hampshire is that you can drive down any road and find something that looks like a postcard. We're going there in Sept. to visit a friend of mine who just bought a house in Franklin.

Acadia National Park on Mount Desert island has free admission july 18-19 and aug 15-16.Normally 20 bucks per car.Sand Beach is the prettiest salt water beach I ever seen.Water is very cold though.Dont miss Acadia,Ive been there many times, going back this month.
