3-point lift problem

I have a MF compact util. tractor, 10 yrs.old. As I lower the 3-point with an implement on it, the lift goes down by jerks. What's the problem? Going up is fine. Loader function is fine.

Something binding?
That would be my first thought. The lift powers up and falls down.

IH: I checked for binding at the 3-point lift, and that was okay. Checked the operation of the 3-pt, and discovered that it was the lever control that was "sticky". And I wasn't aware of that.Would have had to take off the 400 lbs of wheel weight and the wheel to get at the adjustment, so I opted to lubricate the fiber washers that ride against the lever. Seemed to help a lot, but not totally okay. Thanks for your help!
