Nice Haying Weather

Cool 67 degrees, no wind and the hay moisture was just absolutely perfect. Hay went up really well.

A good thumpin' diesel under yer seat and it all makes for a nice day to be alive out in the country. :>)

Glad it came your way, Had 1 1/2 inch rain, one day of wind and partly sunny, rain last night and 99% humidity, Think I will be cutting soon?? Not likely-- Thats farming! Bob
 

Puttin' up hay was one of my favorite things to do, even though the dust would usually give me fits. If I could get away from this computer for even a day or two, I'd come out and run one of those red machines for you.
 
Brrrrr..... hasn't been 67 here since early April. Looks good, that baler puts up some pretty nice bales for a chain baler.
 
I didn't realize IH made a right and left hand rake. We see alot of rake hitches around here but they are all right hand ones that roll from one rake to the other going right.
 
Not going to be nice hay weather here... ITS FAIR WEEK!!! It always rains fair week here in Trumbull County Ohio. Which means we wont get to try out our New Baler, A New Holland 565. O well, i'll just have to wait.
 
The right throw rake is a Hesston. If I could find a decent IH right-throw, I'd fer sure give ya this one.

I hate the derned thing. The angle of attack is wrong and it just cannot compare to an IH.

Mayber this winter, I'll drill a couple of holes and try to move that basket to a greater angle.

Thanks for pictures, Allan. I always enjoy seein' your photos from the farm. My goodness that country of your's is flat! That chain baler sure makes a nice bale. You must have it tuned up just right!
 
Do those tend to over run each other on the ends of field , Can't see how hooked up I'm guessing double tree style great idea never saw a hook up like that.
 
It's kinda hard to explain, but the outer rake goes wide and the inner one tucks in and follows along behind it.

Windrow stays just the same.
