S Central KS today, thermometer is in shade of open shed with good ventilation. It is usually right with what the weather guesser says.

not that yours isn't correct but I have found most of those thermometers like that are pretty inaccurate, on a 40 deg. day outside they will read 70 but that being a JD therm. it has to be the best there is so one shouldn't question it!!LOL!

It"s "only" 93 here, but with humidity like you wouldn"t believe. Since mid April, we"ve had near record rainfalls each month. 3" day before yesterday. Normally dusty here by now...... mud, mud, mud. And all that moisture is steaming outta the ground as fast as it works it"s way down.

106 in the shade in South Texas this afternoon. Wife is ready to have me commited as I fired up the grill for BBQ chicken. Plenty of cold beer helped with the global warming...oh yeah shorts and flip-flops helped to. Garden looks like Hell.

well I promise it is always close. the bank clock/thermo read 106 about the same time I took this. NOT that I am a big deere guy....95 percent of my equipment is red. Deere is OK too, especially the implements.

Here in Oklahoma it got up to 106 and right now @ 8:42 it i still 96.They are hauling the hay that was baled this mornig while there was a little dew Son said it still to dry but rain in the forcast for tonight Radar does not show any storms headed our way. Got the irigation pumping for third cutting.

111 north of Phoenix AZ about 30 miles. Went to the grand daughters dance recital about 6 PM and I'll tell you that blacktop parking lot at the Auditoreum was like sticking your head in an Oven. Hate going to town after May 1st and before Oct.1st.

Here in New York yesterday it was 72 and low humidity. Been like that for a week or so and looks like it will be like that for the next week. Hay in and corn about 30 inches high. You got to love New York.

WOW! What a difference a few miles can make. I, too, am in south central Kansas and yesterday was the coolest day we have had for quite awhile. I expect I am somewhere NW of you as a cool front came through and probably didn't reach your area before hitting that high temp. Just just barely made 93º yesterday here in Hutchinson and that only for a little while.

Hope you got the cool down overnight for some relief. Our overnight was 59º--WHEE!!!! I feel almost human again after being out of sorts for awhile.
Hutch airport hourly weather recordings.

just had a few days over 100 here in iowa. and the humididy was crazy. glad I didnt lose any cattle.neighbor lost a few in his feedlot. I guess they didnt have enough shade.to dang hot for them cows.

it's pushing 100 here today and the humidity is high, so it's pretty rough. I've got a pecan orchard as part of my cow pasture, so they have plenty of shade. They will drink 10-15 gal of water per head per day in the heat. My chickens are sort of in the edge of the woods, so they are fine. It seems that the rabbits suffer the worst here. I might bottle up some beer inside today, but I'm not going to do my normal chores till after dark.

They are beef cattle and right now they are not eating but a very little bit of hay. If they start eating mostly hay in the winter the water consumption about doubles.
