hi guys hoping someone can give me insight as john deere customer service STINKS.I have a tractor that was purchased new only 200 hours on it and it has a starting problem. If you turn the key on then it makes a bunch of noise then wait a minute it may start the tractor repairman said they have never seen anything like it .checked the starter, cleaned and replaced contacts etc..has anyone had this problem? or can help would me much appreciated.

welcome to the world of Mother Deere. I had my own set of troubles and the dealer only managed to shrug his shoulders......as in, "Huh, imagine that! I got your money and you got a tractor....it"s your (my) problem now."

I"d lay odds you"ve got a loose connection somewhere....if it makes buzzing noises and sometimes starts.....it could be a relay, one of those damnable safety feature switches...lots of things.

I wish you luck.

I have a 4410 that has a problem. You start to use it mowing it will move ok however if you shut it off for any reason it will restart ok but it will not move.It has e-trans in it. Let set for 10-15 minutes it will move again.Out of warrenty 189 hours on it.

I personally cannot believe this company. It is no wonder america is in the shape it is with this kind of customer service. How do we boycott peggy sue deere????? that was the name the customer rep gave me when I called there 1-800 no serve number. We have replaced the relay, cleaned all the contacts was in a local shop that thank go was not a authorized dealer as they said were scatching our heads and cannot figure out what is going on with it so we will not charge you ..that was sierra tractor in shingle springs california by the way.Of course I had to pay them for there time..Frustrating.I am sorry but not surprised by the other stories of these tractors made by this company.I hate to but guess my only recourse now is to take it to a dealer to see what they come up with besides and expensive bill

My 4010 had a problem that sounded similar, traced it down to a bad connection (loose) on the back of the ignition switch. To be honest the service dept at JD told me to check that. All dealers are not painted with the same brush. (even if the color is green).
