Allis WF no oil pressure

I bought a 1949 Allis Chalmers WF yesterday at an auction and it appears that the oil pump is not working. When I remove the oil pressure gauge there is no oil being pumped at all. As you can tell by my handle I'm an IHC guy and am not familiar with AC.The engine runs good and doesn't make any bad noises yet ! I have also posted on the AC forum. Thanks in advance for any advice you might be able to give me

Others may tell you additional ideas but I would try priming the oil pump by squirting oil from an oil can down the port where the gage goes on. Pump in many good squirts till you are sure its full. Then start her again and see it oil squirts back out at you. That way you will know if the pump is putting out. Had to do that on an engine I got that had been sitting dry with no oil in the pan.
