Just a little RANT, Why do people on YT always have to "SQUEEZE you out when You answer a question. I gave an answer to a question and low and behold I get "SQUEEZED down the page. Do some people think that their answer is so much better than mine ! I see so many people do this ,Not only on me but others too. I've had times when I've seen my answer "SQUEEZED" down 7 or 8 places. It just is plain RUDE....Jim in N M

I think maybe it is how the page is set up. The newest replies are on top and as yours becomes older it goes down. My .02 Rick

WHY are you questioning how the forum is laid out?

The NEWEST replies are at the TOP... the OLDEST replies progress downward and downward.

There is NO COMPETITION for answers to questions here.

HOW... would you do it any differently?

There is NO other way to do it.

Thats insane to think like that, people are being rude ! The page is formatted to put the replys in this order just like when you put something in a box you place the next item on top you don't take everything out and place the next item on the bottom.

There is always more than one way to skin a cat. The best way to skin your cat may not be the way someone else does it. You never know if several ways gets posted you might find that another way would work better for you. Then again the other posters might try your way at a later date and find yours is better. If the questions are of interest most will read all the different answers, put on their thinking cap and decide which would be best for them. No matter if it is the first answer or the last answer in the thread.

It has nothing to do with rudeness, it"s how the forum is programmed. Been that way for the last five years I"ve been here. Ya can wipe the egg off of your face now....

If you want your post to stay on top then switch to modern view. The newer posts just gets added to the bottom.

I understood how this worked the first time I used it, and I'm not even edumacated in this high tech stuff. For what it costs to answer a question here, I'd say it is well worth the price. Best thing about reading all the responses in a post is if several folks throw out basically the same answer it becomes the most common denominator and even if it's not the answer you like, it's most often the correct one.

When I have posted questions on here in the past, I always appreciate multiple answers. I guess when I reply to a post and others later post a reply similar to mine, I just figured they never read anything other thatn the original question.

I like it that way. When I read it the first time I may not get all of the info. When I see it again and read the replies until I see one I have read before and then I know I have seen the remaining post.

When you respond to a post where else is it going to go? I don't think it's rudeness, just the way the site works. It never even occured to me that it was rudeness. Newest goes on top just like the filing system on my desk.

just take it easy jim, its just that way, mostly for reasons like its real easy to take a cheap shot at someone from the safety of a computer keyboard, then somebody may have had different results doing the same thing, then and formost remember this is summer the little boys are out of school, and just looking for a way to agravate somebody ive noticed a marked difference in smart aleck replies between the time school is in session and when its not also ther has been a big increase in trolls and spammers on here lately

onefarmer is correct. In Modern view latest post is on bottom and in Classic view latest post goes under original posters thread at top. Just click on Modern view on this thread and you will see.

You can choose (in modern view anyway) if you want to see the posts oldest first or newest first. Your choice.
