John Deere 2010C

Hi all, I have me another small(!) project: John Deere 2010 crawler loader. It used to have a backhoe mounted on the back of it, but it was taken off for maneuverability in the woods, and now the machine is heavy on the front. What do I have to do to get the machine to be balanced again? Also, is the transmission in these old machines (1964) a shuttle shift or is there a transmission clutch and the steering brakes are operated by the clutch levers?

I have never run a Deere crawler anything (except a brand new Deere 450H), so any info is muchly appreciated! Thanks a TON guys!

Hi Sam, I used to have the same set up I had a model 93 backhoe quick disconect set up. You might find the weight slabs and they stack on the back to balance it. Seems like I remember about six or so many slabs. AS for the transmission, Mine had a HI-LO-Reverse in it, you could shift on the move....HTH's ..Jim in N M
