OT Check service light on Toyota Camery

Set the odometer to total miles, turn key to off. Hold in odometer reset button, turn key to on. The meter will do a count down and THEN reset itself. I usually end up ignoring it.

(quoted from post at 08:41:23 06/16/09) Wow... a Camry with problems? NO WAY!

It is not really a problem with the car; but they could have made it eaiser to get the dang light to go off.
My wife has a Yaris that has the same service due light that comes on every 5000 miles telling you it is time for a oil change. I have to get the owners manual out everytime because I can never remember the right procedure to get the light off.

It'd be nice if they'd let you change the interval. I use synthetic oil, and don't really see where a 5,000 mile oil change interval makes sense. My wife's Chrysler (pre-external_link) allows me to change the service interval.

It happens. Just ordered a radiator for mine last night. I think it got cracked when I leaned on it to change the valve cover gasket that doesn't want to seal. Then there were new brakes that it needed at about 150,000 miles. Its starting to nickel and dime me:)
