Rye in hay field question

Some winter rye got in a reseeded hay field. Any problems with that for horse hay if it gets baled up??

THe TSC pasture mix i planted has perinnial rye grass in the mix. My horses are pastured and fed this in the winter. I wouldnt think so if they include rye in the mix for pasture..

One problem that I can see would be getting the hay dry (at least here in Wisconsin). The winter rye would have a much thicker and succulent stem than rye grass.

I don't have horses but a horse owner that I was selling hay to did not want rye because he said the beards would lodge in the horses throat.
