utility trailer tires ??

I was told we in Pa can no longer run passenger tires on a utility trailer even though under 3000 Lb Gross they need no brakes or inspection, I can understand passenger tires but also we cant use light truck.

I know not the reasoning and Googled info that I still can't understand. The numbers confuse me .

They say here that the tires have to be trailer rated, these tires will give no mileage on a single axle I was thinking if a LT six ply with tubes to stiffen the side walls in case I wanted to load a little heavy at times for short distance. from one farm to another and still be able to use it on the road other times.

6 ply should be ok but you want to watch what the sidewall ply rating is, some are only 2 ply sidewalls id look at either 8 ply or more in a light truck tire to get the heavier sidewall rating

All I can say is wow!!!!!

I guess when the goverment starts regulate'n gas cans there is nothing you shouldn't expect.
