Buying tractor in canada

I have never purchased a tractor in Canada. An antique tractor auction is coming up in Sept. and I am thinking about going to the sale. If I buy a tractor in Canada, what requirements, fees etc. will there be to get it back in the US? I know I have to have a passport to go to the sale. Thanks for any input, Gary

Not much. A good bill of sale ( a reial # on that is helpful but Inot required) and a clean machine, that is NO soil or chaff anywhere.

If it was built in north america there will be no duty. You will need your passport to get back into the states not to enter Canada.

Very good bill of sale. Also was told items have to be cleaned sanitized. I bought a planter in NY and brought it thru Canada and brought into MICH and the hassled me because it was dirty. Said that if it was bought in Ca it needs a document of some type stating it has been cleaned.
