PJ Trailers

Looking to buy a trailer to haul my tractor on and wanted to see what the views are about PJ trailers. Anybody have any knowledge of this company or it"s trailers.

i've got one of their 25' fladbed trailers, they pull good and seems to be a really well built trailer, they powdercoat the whole trailer and the paint is really hard and durable. only thing i don't like is they are too low in the back and even with the neck adjustment jacked all the way up the ramps will sometimes not good all the way down without having to back up some.

Picked up a new one down by Rochester a few years ago, love the trailer, the steps at the front, and the handles to grab on to, jacks on both sides, nice tool box, I added the extra ramp in the center for narrow front tractors, as for the ramp issue, they pretty much all will have that, depends on the ground you are on when loading or unloading, but the spring loaded ramps are really nice to have, used a lot of trailers that didn't have them.
Fully loaded, or empty pulls like a dream, have to crawl under and spray the deck again this summer, I am trying to see how long I can make the deck last on this one, still looks like it did when I brought it home, with a few small scratches on the deck boards, had a lot of stuff on that one..

I have one, since 2004. It is a very good trailer and have had no complaints. I would buy another should i need one.

I'm going to replace my enclosed work trailer next year. I looked at PJ trailers about a week ago. As far as trailers go, they were well built. Doors are sturdier. Floor is made of material that is supposed to be good for somewhere around 30-50 years. If the trailer last as long as the floor, I'll never have to buy another one. I'm not going to last as long as the floor is supposed to. I can tell you this; When the time comes, I will not be looking at any other brand.

I have one, a 20+5 gooseneck with tandem 7,000lb axles. I use it quite often for hauling tractors and hay It hardly ever has less than 11,000lbs on it and has had more weight than that at times. It's got 1000's of hauling miles on it and it has never given me one ounce of trouble. Should the need arrive to purchase another trailer I know it will be a PJ brand trailer.

If I recall right, they bought out TexasTuff trailers? I have a PJ, and other than the paint, its been a good trailer. Mine definatly wasnt/isnt powder coated.

I see everyone else likes them. They are typical of the budget-priced trailers out there, probably a little lighter than some others I have had.
What I do know about PJ:

1) They will weasel out of any warranty claims, no matter how valid
2) They will NOT hold up to HARD, EVERYDAY, COMMERCIAL use (but neither will most of the other "cheaper" brands).

I have had several brands for a commercial enterprise I run in addition to farming without great success. PJ was the lightest, shortest-lasting. My PJ's even had Chinese axles. I now have trailers custom-built far heavier than what is on most dealer lots and we now just repaint every 3 years or so instead of trading EVERY year trying to find a brand that is durable enough. For what its worth, we were not overloading the trailers, but were using them daily at highway speeds with loads approaching rated capacities but under the rated limit.

My dad has had a PJ for 4 years now, no issues. It's a gooseneck car hauler. I know a few other people with PJ's and don't know of any problems with them.

I looked at a 12,000lb capacity PJ 20' tandem ball hitch trailer two years ago. I didn't think much of it, looked like any other cheaply built trailer. The price was good, but I said, no way.
I ended up with a Cashman trailer built in Litchfield,Mn. More money for sure, but no comparison to those cheap things out there. I am proud to pull my trailer.
