OT: winter triticale in MN possible?

Does anyone know if winter triticale (wheat-rye hybrid) will survive the winter in Minnesota? I've looked it up on google, but can't find much info. I've seen recommendations for seeding it by Sept. 25 in Northern Iowa, and I'm only a few miles from Iowa. I've seen people grow winter wheat around here without problems, but I'm not sure if the two plants have the same winter survival rate.

I cant directly answer your question but tritcale is more winter hardy than wheat. It combines the yield and winter hardiness of rye with the palatability and food value of wheat.
